Simon obtained his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2020 at the Polytechnic Faculty of the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain). His master's thesis focused on the development of an application to determine the discharge of a river using imaging-techniques.
During his studies, he participated in the “Ingénieux Sud” project during which he installed a moringa powder production line in Benin in collaboration with a local university. In addition to an option in aeronautics, he developed a particular interest in machine learning and artificial intelligence during his master's studies and completed several courses on the subject.
Simon joined the B12 team in September 2020 as an Analyst Developer. In his spare time he enjoys sports challenges with his friends and family to support associations he cares about. He also loves table tennis and has a strong interest in Japanese culture.
