Bart Verhoeven

Bart joined Yuma as a Business Development Lead in June 2025.

After obtaining a Master’s degree in Romance Philology and expanding his academic experience through an Erasmus exchange in Madrid,he pursued complementary training in film studies, leadership, coaching, and change management.

Before joining Yuma, Bart held several strategic roles at AI institutions and companies, where he worked at the intersection of artificial intelligence and business. At imec, he helped bridge the gap between cutting-edge academic research and real-world business applications by enabling companies to harness AI through strategic collaborations. Earlier in his career, he held leadership and account management roles at major digital agencies, where he led strategic partnerships with national and international clients. Throughout these roles, he also organized and hosted public events focused on AI and acted as a trusted advisor, translating complex technologies into tangible commercial value.

Thanks to his diverse professional background, Bart brings strong expertise in AI strategy, digital transformation, and commercial leadership. He is an experienced public speaker and a firm believer in creating long-term value for clients and partners. Drawing on his entrepreneurial roots and freelancing background, he approaches each project with agility, ownership, and a deep sense of human connection.

Upon joining Yuma, Bart took the lead in supporting clients pursuing AI initiatives. He actively contributes to building a forward-thinking and human-driven innovation strategy to strengthen the group’s collective market positioning.

In his free time, Bart enjoys sharing his passion for wine as a certified Sommelier-Conseil with a specialization in Lebanese wines. He often hosts tastings and team-building events. He’s also a long-time supporter of Atlético de Madrid and has been a loyal socio of the club for over 15 years.
