Bertrand joined B12 as a Tech Lead in January 2023, assuming the roles of a solution architect for new projects, designing data engineering pipelines, and providing general software development support.
Bertrand holds two Master's degrees: one in Mathematics obtained in 2003 and another in Computer Science earned in 2006 from the University of Namur.
Following a period at FNRS, during which he contributed to the development of a centralized login system for French-speaking universities, Bertrand's interest in data science and data engineering led him to transition into a consultant role in the energy sector, primarily focused on creating forecasting models.
Bertrand began his career in an open-source ERP company, where he acquired expertise in designing complex software and recognized the value of simplicity. Subsequently, he co-founded an IT service company and played a pivotal role in the development of another open-source ERP software.
