Associate
Loris joined B12 Consulting in October 2025 as an Associate.
He completed his academic journey by obtaining a PhD in Physics from the University of Namur in 2025. His extensive doctoral research was dedicated to understanding the growth mechanisms of coatings deposited by Physical Vapor Deposition on Open-Cell foams. This work required hands-on expertise and advanced computational modeling, notably through the development of a multi-scale numerical approach based on Direct Simulation Monte Carlo, Particle-In-Cell Monte Carlo, and kinetic Monte Carlo algorithms to simulate the transport of plasma species and the subsequent coating growth.
Throughout his curriculum at the University, he cultivated a strong and sustained interest in High Performance Computing techniques and the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence. This passion, combined with the analytical mindset honed during his doctoral research, provided a powerful foundation for his career pivot. Driven by a desire to translate complex theoretical knowledge into innovative technological solutions, he was naturally drawn to his current role at B12.
Loris is fueled by a profound need for continuous learning and thrives on the daily challenge of complex problem-solving, attributes that define his passion for the field of AI.
Outside of his professional life, he balances his time between the endurance sport of triathlon and relaxing by playing video games.
